CHAPTER 4 OF 12

Chapter 4: your mother, and the land, home and vehicles that come to you

Chapter 4 holds two things at once. It reads your mother, her health, her longevity, her fortunes and your relationship with her. It also reads land and property, your own home, the direction to buy in, the age at which a vehicle comes, and the gains and troubles that follow from both.

What this chapter covers

Chapter 4 begins with your mother. Her health is recorded, and her longevity, and so are the life threatening factors she faces, including the date, the time and the day on which they fall. That last part is the reason this chapter is read slowly and, for some people, not read at all. You can ask for it to be left out before the reading starts.

The chapter then reads the relationship. The favours that come to you from your mother are set down, and so is the state of the relationship between you and her, and her own luck and fortunes, separate from yours.

Land and property make up the second half. The Maharishis record the land and properties that come to you and at what age, the luck that comes to you through lands, your own home, nearby places, buying property and the direction in which it should be bought, and agricultural lands. It is a practical passage, and it is read as practically as it is written.

Vehicles are read the same way, and with both sides shown. Whether you are benefited through vehicles is written, and so are the problems, the minor accidents and the expenses that come through a vehicle, and the age at which a vehicle comes to you. Gains through vehicles are recorded alongside unexpected gains through luck, of the kind that comes from a race, gambling or a lottery. The chapter also covers the constructing of a temple or other buildings.

Questions this chapter answers

Eight questions Chapter 4 is read to answer, all of them from what the Maharishis set down here.

How is my mother’s health and longevity written?

Her health and her lifespan as recorded on your leaf, read as description rather than as a verdict.

Are there life threatening factors for her, and when?

The life threatening factors, including the date, the time and the day. Ask for this to be left out if you would rather not hear it.

What favours come to me from my mother?

The support and the favours that reach you through her, and how the relationship between you runs.

What are my mother’s own fortunes?

Her luck and fortunes, read separately from yours rather than folded into them.

At what age do land and property come to me?

Land, properties and the luck that comes through them, including agricultural land and a home of your own.

In which direction should I buy?

Where property should be bought, the direction, and the places near your own home.

What comes to me through a vehicle?

Whether you are benefited through vehicles, and the problems, minor accidents and expenses that come with them.

Am I shown building a temple?

The constructing of a temple or other buildings, where the Maharishis have written it.

How Chapter 4 sits with the rest

Your father is not in this chapter. He has his own, Chapter 9, which also carries your spiritual path and your guru. Chapter 4 is your mother’s, and the property material sits with her rather than with him.

Where a date or a time is written against a life threatening factor, it is read out as written. It is not a sentence passed on anyone, and nothing in it replaces a doctor.

Property appears in more than one chapter, and the difference matters. Ancestral property, and the problems and fortunes around getting it, belongs to Chapter 5. Property bought in your own lifetime, the direction to buy it in and the home you live in belong here. The chapter before this one, Chapter 3 on younger siblings, is worth reading alongside it when a property dispute is a family dispute.

The seven special chapters are read separately. If you are still working out what a reading involves, start with how a Nadi reading works and the FAQ page.

Questions people ask

Does this chapter read my mother’s own leaf? +

No. It is read from your leaf, found from your own thumb impression. What the Maharishis wrote there about your mother, her health, her longevity, her luck and fortunes and the favours that come to you from her, is read out as it stands. If she wants her own leaf read, she would need her own thumb impression taken.

Why are land and vehicles in the same chapter as my mother? +

Because the Maharishis put them there. Chapter 4 holds mother, land, properties, your own home and vehicles together as one chapter, and it is read in that order. We do not rearrange the chapters into categories that would look tidier, because the groupings themselves are part of what was written.

The leaf gives a date for a life threatening factor. What do I do with it? +

Take it as something to be careful about, not as a settled outcome. It is read out because it is written, and because you asked for the chapter. It is not medical advice and it is not a diagnosis. Keep every appointment, keep taking what your doctor prescribed, and tell us beforehand if you would rather this part were not read.

Can the chapter tell me which direction to buy property in? +

It covers exactly that. The Maharishis record buying properties, where they should be bought and in which direction, along with nearby places, your own home and agricultural lands. What is written is passed on as written. It is a reference point for a decision that is still yours to make, and it is not financial advice.

Does the chapter say I will win a lottery? +

No. Chapter 4 records unexpected gains through luck, of the kind that comes through a race, gambling or a lottery, where such gains are written on the leaf. Recording a thing is not promising it. Nothing in this chapter is a tip, nobody should stake money on it, and no outcome is guaranteed.

Where to go next

Chapter 3: younger siblings

The chapter before this one. Younger brothers and sisters, the relationship between you, and where your courage shows.

Chapter 5: children

The chapter after this one. Progeny, the child’s own life, and ancestral property.
