CHAPTER 7 OF 12
Chapter 7 answers one question first: is a first marriage written for you in this birth, and if it is, at what age. After that the leaf describes the person, the direction they come from, their family and their education, in the detail the Maharishis recorded on the palm leaf.
This chapter is read for your first marriage and nothing else. It opens with the plainest question in it: whether you have a marital life written on the leaf in this birth at all. That answer comes before any description of a partner.
If a marriage is not shown, the chapter gives the reasons. It explains why the luck and fortune to marry did not fall to you in this birth, and sometimes a remedy is reflected in the leaf to come out of that position. Sometimes one is not. Nothing is added that the leaf does not carry.
If a marriage is on card, the age is given. So is the direction: which way from your own home your life partner is found. People often sit up at this line, because it is specific enough to check against a proposal already in front of them.
The chapter then describes the person. Whether your life partner is the first child of their family or the last. Clues to their moon sign, their birth star and their ascendant. Their complexion, their characteristics, their educational qualifications, and whether they will be working. Scars or black moles on their body are recorded too, and those are usually the lines people remember longest.
Physical compatibility between the two of you is explained in this chapter as well.
Your partner’s parents come next. The leaf gives clues to their names, whether they will be physically present, and the challenges they face. Then the distance: the places near your partner’s home, the direction of that home from yours, and how long the travel between the two homes takes.
One practical question comes up almost every time: whether a partner’s thumb impression can be taken at the same visit. Ask when you book, because it changes how much time to set aside.
Chapter 7 is narrow on purpose. It takes the first marriage only. A second marital life is not read here at all: that belongs to chapter 11, on elder siblings and the second marriage.
The chapter before it, chapter 6 on debts, litigation, enemies and health, often explains the pressure a person is carrying into a marriage question. The chapter after it, chapter 8 on longevity, is read only by people who ask for it.
If the reason you are here is that a marriage keeps being postponed, the page written for that situation is marriage delay and what the leaf addresses. If the seventh chapter shows a difficulty and you want to know what a pooja chapter contains, read the seven special chapters.
Before any of it, the sitting itself is worth understanding. How a Nadi reading actually works sets out the thumbprint, the search for the leaf and the verification questions, and the questions people ask before booking covers the rest.
Nadi readings are a traditional practice. Nothing here is medical, legal or financial advice, and no outcome is guaranteed. Please continue to follow your doctor.
No. A Nadi reading works from a thumbprint: the right thumb for men, the left thumb for women. No birth date, birth time or star is needed from you, and nothing at all is needed from your partner. Chapter 7 describes your partner from your own leaf, not from theirs.
Yes, and many people read it at exactly that point. The chapter describes what is written about your first marriage: the age, the direction, the family, the education, the marks. It does not grade a particular proposal and we will not tell you to accept or refuse one. That decision stays with you and your family.
For many people it becomes the verification chapter. The details are already settled in your life, so the age, the direction, the family, the education and the marks can be checked against what you know while they are being read out. People often use that check to decide whether to continue with the remaining chapters.
No. Chapter 7 is the first marriage only. The second marital life, including the age, the direction the bride or groom comes from, where you meet and whether it is a love or arranged marriage, is read in chapter 11 on elder siblings. The two chapters are never merged.
Not always. Sometimes a remedy is reflected in the leaf alongside the reason, and sometimes the chapter gives the reason alone. We read what is written and we do not add to it. No remedy carries a guaranteed outcome, and anyone promising one is not reading from a leaf.
Loans, debts, litigation, enemies and health problems, and the treatment method shown as suitable.
The difficult chapter. Read only on request, and only after you know what it contains.
Elder siblings, the second marital life, and the modes through which gains come.
