Questions people ask before booking

These are the real questions, including the awkward ones about whether any of this is true, what happens if the leaf is wrong, and whether you will be pushed into paying for poojas. Every answer here is the answer we would give you on the phone.

Before you book

What do I need to bring? +

Your thumb. Nothing else. No birth date, no birth time, no birth star, no horoscope, no documents. Men give the right thumb impression and women the left. If you want a second person in the room with you, bring them.

I do not know my exact birth time. Does that matter? +

No. Birth time is never used in a Nadi reading, so not knowing it changes nothing. This is the main reason people come here after a chart reading stalled. The comparison with a birth chart explains why an approximate birth time is a real problem for chart astrology and not for this.

How long does a reading take? +

You are told how long to set aside when you book. The search itself has no fixed length, because it depends on how quickly your leaf turns up. Keep the rest of the day free rather than booking something immediately afterwards.

Do I need an appointment? +

Yes, please book first. Message or call and we will fix a time. Walking in without an appointment risks a long wait, because a search already under way cannot be interrupted. Our address and hours are on the contact page.

What language will the reading be in? +

The leaf is written in old Tamil and read aloud in Tamil, then explained to you. You do not need to know Tamil. Tell us which language you want when you book, and we will say whether we can read in it.

Can I have a reading from outside India? +

Yes. You take the thumb impression on paper where you are, send it ahead, and the search begins before your scheduled call. The online reading page covers how to take a usable print, what to send, and how time zones are handled.

The reading itself

How is my leaf actually found? +

Your thumb impression selects a group of leaf bundles. The reader then opens leaves from that group one by one, reading out identifying lines, and you answer yes or no until one leaf matches on every point. The thumb impression page sets out each step.

What should I say during the search? +

Yes or no, and nothing more. Do not fill in details, correct near misses or explain your situation. Every extra thing you say is information the leaf was supposed to give you, and it weakens the only real test you have.

How many chapters should I take? +

Start with chapter 1, which covers every area of your life in a general way, then add the chapter that matches your actual question. There is no requirement to take all twelve, and you decide after chapter 1 has been read, not before.

What are the special chapters and do I need them? +

They are seven further chapters covering karma, protection, the body, period-by-period guidance, the spiritual path, direct questions and general relief. You need them only if something in the twelve ordinary chapters points towards one of them. The special chapters page describes all seven.

Do I get a recording or a written copy? +

Ask when you book rather than at the end of your session, because it has to be arranged before the reading starts. Most people find they cannot hold a whole chapter in their head afterwards, so it is worth settling in advance.

Money

What does a reading cost? +

The full table is published on the fees page, priced per chapter. Almost nobody in this category publishes figures, which is exactly why we do. You can decide whether we suit you before you spend a morning finding out. Accepted payment methods are listed on the payment page.

Is the thumb impression search free? +

Yes. Taking the print and searching the bundles costs nothing at all, and you are not committed to anything while it is happening. You pay only once a leaf has been found and you have confirmed for yourself that the identifying details are yours.

Do you push people into paying for poojas? +

No. Several chapters record remedies, and we read what the leaf says about them. Ask before the reading ends whether a remedy named in your leaf carries a cost and who arranges it. No remedy is ever a condition of receiving your reading.

What if no leaf is found? Do I still pay? +

Searches do end without a match, and we say so rather than force a near miss to fit. What you pay in that case is the one thing to settle in writing before you book, and it is set out in our refund policy.

Difficult questions

Is any of this real? +

That is a fair question and we will not argue you into an answer. What we can offer is a test you run yourself: the leaf states your name, your parents’ names and facts about your past before anything is predicted. Judge it on that, not on our claims.

What if the leaf gets something wrong? +

Then it is not your leaf and we set it aside. A leaf that gets your mother’s name wrong is the wrong leaf, and nothing read from it would be worth anything. We will not reinterpret a wrong detail into a right one.

Will you frighten me? +

We will not use fear to sell you anything. Some chapters carry hard material, and the lifespan chapter most of all. You can ask for a chapter to be left out, or for part of it to be withheld, and that request is respected without argument.

Can a reading cure an illness? +

No. Nothing in a Nadi reading treats, cures or heals any disease, and we make no such claim. The Medicinal chapter records what the text says about the body and which system of treatment is indicated. It is read alongside your doctor, never instead of one.

Will you guarantee that my problem is solved? +

No, and anyone who does is selling you something else. A reading tells you what the leaf records. It does not promise a marriage, a job, a child or a court result. If a guarantee is what you need, this is not the right place.

How do I know you are not just reading my face? +

Say only yes and no during the search and the question answers itself. Nobody guesses a mother’s name from a face. The rule protects you more than it protects us, which is why we ask for it before the first leaf is opened.

Is my information kept private? +

What we hold, how long we hold it and how to have it deleted are set out in our privacy policy. Nothing from your reading is published anywhere. The accounts on the testimonials page are there because those people chose to be filmed.

Nadi readings are a traditional practice. Nothing here is medical, legal or financial advice, and no outcome is guaranteed. Please continue to follow your doctor.

Still have a question?

Ask it before you book. We would rather answer honestly now than have you travel for something that was never going to suit you.
