Terms and conditions
These terms govern the use of nadiastroservice.com and any Nadi leaf reading provided by NadiAstroService. By booking a reading or using this website you accept them.
What the service is
A Nadi reading is a traditional practice. A leaf is located from your thumb impression, confirmed through questions you answer yes or no to, and the chapter you ask for is then read aloud to you as it is written. That is the whole of what is being provided. The method is described on the Nadi process page.
A reading is not professional advice of any kind. It is not medical, legal, financial, psychological, career or relationship advice, and it is not a substitute for a doctor, lawyer, accountant or any other qualified professional. No outcome is promised, and nothing read from a leaf should be treated as a prediction you can rely on to your detriment.
Every decision you take after a reading is your own. If a chapter touches on health, money or litigation, take it to someone qualified to advise you.
Who can book
Where a reading concerns a person who cannot consent for themselves, a parent or lawful guardian must attend and consent.
A reading needs the thumb impression of the person whose leaf is being read, so that person must be present for that step. Family members may sit in with the agreement of the person being read.
Readings for people outside India are arranged individually, and the arrangements are agreed in writing before anything is paid. See also the page on readings from outside India.
Booking, fees and payment
Appointments are made by phone, WhatsApp or through the enquiry form. A booking is confirmed only when we confirm it back to you.
- Fees are as published on the fees page and are set out in full before any reading begins. The fee applying to your reading is the one quoted to you when you book.
- Advance payment: agreed with you when you book, if any is required.
- Accepted payment methods: confirmed when you book. Details are on the payment page.
- If no matching leaf is found, the position is set out in the refund and cancellation policy, which forms part of these terms.
Fees may be revised at any time. A revision does not change a fee already quoted and accepted for a confirmed booking.
Attendance and conduct
Please arrive at the time booked. Finding a leaf takes time, and arriving late can cost you part of your appointment. Tell us as soon as you know you are going to be late, and we will say what can still be done in the time left. Cancellation, rescheduling and missed appointments are dealt with in the refund and cancellation policy.
Answer honestly during verification. Saying yes to statements that are not true produces a leaf that is not yours, and no reading on that basis can be relied upon.
Recording: agree before the reading starts whether it may be recorded and whether a copy is given to you. Photography or filming of the leaf bundles requires permission.
We may end a reading where a person is abusive, intoxicated, threatening, or filming without permission, and we may decline a booking at our discretion. What happens to the fee in that situation is set out in the refund and cancellation policy.
Intellectual property
The text, photographs, videos and design on this website belong to us or are used with permission. You may read, print and share pages for your own use. You may not copy the content onto another website, use it in advertising, or present it as your own.
The palm leaves remain in our custody at all times and are not sold, transferred or handed over. Photographs of leaf bundles may not be reproduced commercially.
What is read from your own leaf is yours, and you may share it with whoever you choose.
Limitation of liability
You accept that a reading is provided as a traditional practice and that you act on your own judgement. To the fullest extent permitted by Indian law, we are not liable for any loss, damage, expense or decision arising from what is read to you, from acting on it, or from choosing not to act on it. This includes financial loss, business loss, loss of opportunity, and distress.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Indian law, including under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
We do not warrant that this website will be free of errors or interruption. Links to other sites are provided for convenience and we are not responsible for their content.
Your data
Personal data, including your thumb impression, is handled as described in the privacy policy, which is written against India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and forms part of these terms. Read it before you book.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of them or out of a reading is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
Before starting any proceeding, please raise the matter with us directly on +91 98406 56708 so that we have the chance to resolve it.
If any part of these terms is held to be invalid, the rest continues to apply.
Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms. The revised version is published on this page with a new effective date, and it applies to bookings made after that date. Bookings already confirmed are governed by the terms in force when they were confirmed. There is no separate notification, so check this page before booking.
