Readings here are given by Sivasakthi Guruji. A Nadi leaf is written in old Tamil verse, in a script and a vocabulary that are centuries away from the language spoken today, so the work is to read it accurately aloud and then put it into words you can actually use.
Two things, and they are easy to confuse. The first is reading the verse — following the metre, recognising words that have fallen out of use, and not skipping a line because it is inconvenient. The second is explaining it, which means saying what the verse states and stopping there.
The gap between those two is where most of the trouble in this category lives. A leaf that says little on a subject says little. Filling that silence with something plausible is the easiest thing a reader can do and the one thing that makes the whole exercise worthless.
You are told what is on the leaf. Where the leaf is thin on a subject, you are told that too, rather than given something that sounds better.
Nothing is predicted until the leaf has been confirmed as yours. It states your name, your mother’s name, your father’s name and how many brothers and sisters you have, and these are read out one at a time for you to accept or reject.
A leaf that gets your mother’s name wrong is not your leaf. Stretching it to fit would make everything read afterwards meaningless, so the search continues or it ends. How a thumbprint finds your leaf covers how the search works.
If any of that is what you are looking for, this is not the right room, and it is better for both of us to know that before you travel.
No. A Nadi reading needs no birth date, no birth time and no star. The leaf is found from your thumb impression — right thumb for men, left for women — and confirmed by you answering yes or no to your own family details. Bring nothing but yourself.
Yes, and it helps. Ask what a line actually says if the explanation runs ahead of it. If there is a subject you would rather not hear about at all, say so before the chapter is opened rather than part way through.
Yes. Nothing from your reading is published or passed to anyone without your permission, and we will not give out the contact details of anyone else who has had a reading. How enquiry details are handled is set out in our privacy policy.
That is a reasonable position and it does not need resolving in advance. The verification step is designed to be checked rather than believed: either the leaf names your parents correctly or it does not, and you will know within minutes which it is.
More on the service itself is on about us, the steps are on how a reading works, and the twelve chapters begin at the Fortune Kandam. The rest is answered in questions people ask before booking.
Nadi readings are a traditional practice. Nothing here is medical, legal or financial advice, and no outcome is guaranteed. Please continue to follow your doctor.
